Legacy of Syed Mirak Shah Kashani (R.A.)

Welcome to Syed Mirak Shah Memorial High School

Hazrat Syed Mirak Shah Kashani (RA) was deeply committed to the educational and intellectual upliftment of the children of Jammu and Kashmir, advocating for both religious and contemporary knowledge. In the early 1950s, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir invited Hazrat Syed Mirak Shah Kashani (RA) to lay the foundation stone of the new campus of the University of Jammu and Kashmir at Hazratbal, Srinagar. Honoring this request, he gladly accepted the role, marking a significant contribution to the region’s educational landscape.

Hazrat Syed Mirak Shah Kashani (RA) was the founder of Anjuman Taleegul Islam and played a pivotal role in establishing the Madinatul Uloom Institute, which was later affiliated with the University of Kashmir. Presently, it forms a part of the university's Arabic Department.

A Legacy of Excellence since 1984

On December 13, 1973, Hazrat Syed Mirak Shah Kashani (RA) departed for his heavenly abode. He was succeeded in the Sajada of Dargah-e-Kashani at Mirakabad Shalimar by Hazrat Fakeer Deen Mohammad Sahab (RA).
In fulfillment of his Murshid's (Hazrat Syed Mirak Shah Kashani RA) vision, Hazrat Fakeer Deen Mohammad Sahab (RA) established a chain of Syed Mirak Shah Memorial Schools at the following locations:
1. Mirakabad, Shalimar (founded in 1984, upgraded to a high school in 1994):
2. New Theed
3. Pazalpora
4. Nishat

In 1994, the Syed Mirak Shah Educational Trust was formally established, with Hazrat Fakeer Deen Mohammad Sahab (RA) serving as its Founder and Chairman, as well as the head of the school management committee.
On October 10, 1998, at the age of 67, Hazrat Fakeer Deen Mohammad Sahab (RA) passed away. He was succeeded in the Sajada of Darbar-e-Kashani at Mirakabad Shalimar by Hazrat Fakeer Mohammad Dilwar Sahib, who has since served as the Author and Chief Patron of the Syed Mirak Shah Memorial Educational Trust.
